Meg Touborg… is a leading design executive, entrepreneur, founder of Metworks Inc. and a co-founder of the Leaders of Design Council. Throughout her career, she has bridged the worlds of creativity and commerce in both fashion and design. Her specialties are concept development, strategic planning, marketing and team leadership. Previously, Meg was a Managing Partner in Design Investors, a private equity firm, where she served as CEO of Rose Tarlow Melrose House. She was also on the Boards of Directors of both the firm’s portfolio companies and of the La Cienega Design Quarter. Meg devoted her earlier career years to growing premium brands such as Waterworks, kate spade, Coach, Laura Ashley and Saks Fifth Avenue. Meg earned her Bachelors of Arts degree from Harvard College magna cum laude in History and Literature, and has completed executive courses at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. She and her family and their two rescue dogs reside in Los Angeles.

Adam Japko… is Chief Executive Officer of Esteem Media, Inc. Adam is also an active member of the wine industry’s social media landscape through his award winning blog; WineZag. In 1979 Japko received a BA in Journalism from New York University, pursuing advanced road studies following the Grateful Dead since 1971.
Kyla Herbes…in 2013 created the home decor and lifestyle blog House of Hipsters. Her work as been featured in The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Refinery29, and Rue Magazine. Kyla has also made appearances on Chicago’s WGN TV Weekend Workbench show. Prior to becoming a full-time content creator, she worked as the Creative Director at an advertising agency in The Loop. She used her marketing background to help grow her Pinterest account to over 191k dedicated followers. Pinterest took notice of her skills and hired her to work for the Pin Factory. She’s now part of Pinterest’s Creator Collective and will be speaking about Pinterest Best Practices at In The Making this June. Before Millennial Pink was trending, she created the Instagram account @ihavethisthingwithpink on a whim to test her social media skills. The “all day every day” pin account racked up over 70k followers in two years and has been featured in Architectural Digest, Glitter Guide, HGTV and Martha Stewart.

From Painting to Podcasting .1 CEU

Nick May… is the host of two podcasts, The Chaise Lounge and The Business Brush, runs a paint contracting business in Denver, CO, and is building a media company on the side. Nick has been in and around businesses and interior spaces for over 18 years, and while he admits that he may not have all the answers for design, his success as a trail-blazing entrepreneur have taught him what you need when growing a business: building systems, marketing, employee management, and sales. These are all strategies that many interior designers need help with, and this is why he started The Chaise Lounge podcast. In his free time, he enjoys short walks to the coffee pot, and the occasional glass of wine.
